Acceptable use

The measurements offered here exist to help network operators diagnose paths that involve us. Using them to sweep address space, to fingerprint hosts you do not operate, or as a component of an automated scanner is not acceptable use and is the reason transcripts were withdrawn.

Private, loopback, link-local and multicast targets are rejected before queueing.
Our own prefixes and the prefixes of direct peers are always permitted.
Requests are logged with source address, target and method for 14 days.
Repeated rejections lead to a source block; unblocking goes through abuse.
